CROTCH ROCKET PILOT'S ASSOC. PATCH

I did this patch for my friend Ron, he rides a hot rod Buell. He's spent the price of a house on every go-faster modification known to man for this bike. I rode it once. He says " Dave, it's late, there's nobody out there. Take her out on the freeway and wring her out, you'll love it!" Well, guess who was stupid enough to do just that? Up the on ramp, back tire only. Ran thru the gears, was as smooth as silk. Passed a semi-truck somewhere on the far side of 140 mph, not sure just where, I was kind of busy at this point, and mashed the nitrous button..............YOU GUYS ARE NUTS!!!!!
The patch measures 5-1/2" wide and 3" tall. Aluminum grey embroidery on black polyfelt. The back has had patch sealer applied to stabilize it. This patch is for all you speed freaks out there, like my friend Ron, who think "TOO FAST" is just a place to start... GOOD LUCK....

FREE RIDER (NO CLUB) WINGS PATCH

This design is an early one from 1968.   There was a bunch of us that would ride together, on the weekends.   Camping trips to the desert in Baja, Sierra Nevada mountains, Big Sur, or just over to Simi Valley, we went all over.   We had to get out of L.A. and away from our suck jobs!   Not a club, by any means, just friends who enjoyed each others company.   And of course, rode chops.   The idea for this patch came from gas stops.   Every time we would pull in for gas, a lot with 2 gal. peanut tanks, somebody would walk up and say, "cool bikes, you guys Hell's Angels?" NO!!!!!!!!!!     Back then, if you rode a chop, to a lot of folks, you were automatically a Hell's Angel.   About the 800th time this was asked, some of the guys were getting kind of cranky over this.   An FU would proceed the NO!!!!     This wasn't cool and lead to some problems, so my brilliant idea was this patch.   We all sewed them on.   It didn't help.... Kind of did, we could point to the patch and say "NO CLUB" It helped our attitudes, anyway..... This re-issue is scanned from the original 1968 art work. Full embroidered in 6 colors on black polyfelt. It measures 5-1/4" wide and 4" tall. The backs have patch sealer applied to stabilize them. This patch is for all us independent riders, RIDE FREE..........RR
